the scanner is connected but sane doesn't find it.
cat /proc/bus/usb/devices show up with

T: Bus=01 Lev=01 Prnt=01 Port=01 Cnt=01 Dev#= 2 Spd=12 MxCh= 0
D: Ver= 1.00 Cls=00(>ifc ) Sub=00 Prot=00 MxPS= 8 #Cfgs= 1
P: Vendor=03f0 ProdID=0401 Rev= 1.00
S: Manufacturer=Hewlett-Packard
S: Product=HP ScanJet 5200C
S: SerialNumber=SG0321316ZHT
C:* #Ifs= 1 Cfg#= 1 Atr=60 MxPwr= 0mA
I: If#= 0 Alt= 0 #EPs= 3 Cls=00(>ifc ) Sub=00 Prot=00 Driver=(none)
E: Ad=81(I) Atr=02(Bulk) MxPS= 64 Ivl=0ms

E: Ad=83(I) Atr=03(Int.) MxPS= 1 Ivl=250ms

What do I do?
I use kernel 2.6.7 and hotplug to manage permissions. However hotplug has some
problems: It cannot chown and chmod of /proc/bus/usb/001/003 which might be
my scanner device. (I think it should be 001:001). I don't always get this
error message during start-up for some reason.
It might be related to my start-up unlinking problems to devices vcs4 and
more.
