No and no. Maybe I should document it, but it's just normal for nearly
all the scanners my backends support and I never got a question about
that from anybody. Also the Windows driver does the same. In fact, it
provides resolutions upto 9600 dpi without mentioning that these are
only "marketing" resolutions :-)
