It's not even in our list so nobody knows. But most probably you are
right. Could you please send us the output of "sane-find-scanner -v -v"?
So we can at least list this scanner. Maybe it's even possible to find
out the chipset that way.

Before you start writing something completely new, check if the
chipset of the scanner is already supported by some existing backend.
