[sane-devel] Help to Modify Canon Lide 60 driver

Hello, I'm looking for help to modify some parameters in the Canon  
Lide 60 driver (genesys).
I'm doing a thesis about converting a flat scanner in a digital back  
for a large format camera, I've been inspired by this site http:// 
www.scannerphotography.com/index.html but I'm actually designing the  
whole camera.
Mike Golembewsky (the author of the site) suggest to use SANE drivers  
modified to get the best quality and he says (at the end of this page  
http://www.scannerphotography.com/cameras/software/index.html ) to
" disable the calibration and error correction routines found in the  
driver for the Canon LIDE".

Now my BIG problem is that I'm a student of industrial design and I  
have no idea how to modify or compile a driver..
So... If someone is so nice (and have free time) to help, I will be  
very thankful!

PS, I'm using it on Mac OS X 10.4.5
