Hi Pierre,

Hm.

The scanner has 2400x4800 dpi, but the data sheet for the GL841
says: "Available sensor types: 600, 1200, 2400 dpi color CIS or CCD."
The GL843-3x-data-sheet says:
"Available sensor types: 600, 1200, 2400, 3200, 3600, 4800dpi color CIS or CCD."
(See http://www.genesyslogic.com/jimages_product/GL843-3X%20Datasheet_102.pdf)

May be, you are right.

I know, it is'nt really necessary, but I made another scan with XP.
(Here works a trainee for two weeks - he should learn such things.)

The size is only 42.5 MB, after processing 33 MB.

We've got at startup nearly the same data:
diff usbsnoop-w98-cal.collect.log usbsnoop-xp-cal.collect.log
starts with:

1c1
< set_read_register(0x41) = 0x50
---
> set_read_register(0x41) = 0x58
3c3
< set_read_register(0x41) = 0x50
---
> set_read_register(0x41) = 0x58
32873c32873
< BULK<(65024)
---
> BULK<(65536)
40790d40789
< BULK<(65024)
41066a41066
> BULK<(65536)
48919d48918
< BULK<(65024)
49259a49259
> BULK<(65536)
57048d57047
...

The first changes belonging to registers are:
122891,123345d123101
< 0xaa, 0xaa,set_register(0x5b)
< write_register(0x00)
< set_write_register(0x5c, 0x00)
< set_register(0x28)
< buf_prepaccess(0x00000600,BULK_OUT)
< Data: 01 00 82 00 00 06 00 00
< Index: 0
< BULK>(1536)
< 0x55, 0x55, 0x55, 0x55, 0x55, 0x55, 0x55, 0x55,

So I think, we have really the right data ...

Regards!
	Ralph.
