[sane-devel] Umax Astra 2100U

Hello together

Having Ubuntu-studio-7.04 with kernel 2.6.20-16-generic and a Astra 2100U.
Followed the instruction made by various wiki-articles and the sane-website.
Did not get the scanner to run.

Editing /etc/fstab with "none        /proc/bus/usb    usbfs    
auto,devmode=0666    0    0"
setting permissions by "mknod -m 666 /dev/usbscanner c 180 48"
trying xsane by root
etc.
...

The scanner is already shown supported as "Good" in the list of 
supported scanners.

Is there anybody who has successfully run this scanner.

I'm glad if anybody can give me some tipps and hints.
