OK, so it's using the epson backend.  It is not using the epkowa
backend that comes with iscan.  If you can use the CX7400 with the
epson backend, good for you!

That .rpmsave file is just a backup that yum makes when you remove the
package.  All iscan stuff proper should be gone and most definitely
the epkowa backend.
