Yes, no path information. It's useless.

If you're going to put a checksum in there, then yes, you'll have to
support multiple firmware attributes. Otherwise it's just pointless
and it gets in the way of usability :)

Also, if the firwmare is extracted from a Windows driver, you'll have
case sensitivity issues to take care of.
