[sane-devel] Can't get SANE to recognize my HP Scanjet 3570c scanner

To whom it may concern:

I just installed SANE 1.0.19, but it does not recognize my HP Scanjet 
3570c scanner.  Both "scanimage -L" and "sane-find-scanner" give me the 
"no scanners found" message.  This occurs even when I am logged in as root.

"lsusb" produces the following output:
