yes- that is a bug in the prog that generates that html page. look at
the manpage on your box :)

man sane-canon_dr

Anyway- back to your problem- I really need a usb trace of the machine
in action on windows in order to see what it is doing. can you get a
full page, black and white scan at the lowest resolution - and log it
with this:

then send me the log file directly?
