Thanks for the prompt reply.
Until we figure out if the Canon DR-150 can be easily supported by SANE, will I be able to run the supplied windows software under an emulator like Wine?.

If you could get a log of a small, low resolution scan on windows, I can see if it uses the same protocol as other Canon DR series machines. If you are lucky, it might be fairly fast to support it. If you are unlucky, it might be a completely different protocol.


Install this software, and use it to make the log:

Would appreciate if SANE can add support for this model.
The scanner comes with a Windows application.Until SANE support it is possible to run the supplied application under a Windows emulator like Wine?. I don't want it to just sit idle.
