Looks like you didn't make the necessary changes to backend/Makefile.am.
  You will need to add your backend to the

  be_convenience_libs
  be_dlopen_libs

variables and also add snippets similar to the ones that start at the
libepjitsu_la_SOURCES and end just before the libepson2_la_SOURCES
variables.

When that's done, autoreconf and ./configure again.
