it is supported by the external epkowa backend:
http://www.sane-project.org/lists/sane-backends-external.html#S-EPKOWA

unfortunately, this requires a proprietary, binary plugin to work,
which the vendor does not provide for your ARM system. Isn't
pseudo-free software wonderful?
