[sane-devel] ADF problem on HP ScanJet 8270 (ERR: Scanner cover is open)

I'm very interested in a permanent solution, and would love to be able to
scan double sided...which you will also find doesn't work. The HP8250 is a
great scanner, as I'm sure the HP8270 is. My recollection is that a
developer was willing to fix these if he had a scanner, or barring that,
USBsnoop of the scanner working. That was over a year ago. I don't have a
XP or windows machine to run USBsnoop on, so I haven't been able to do any
data gathering. My situation may change.

Meanwhile I can say that despite the shortcomings, I use my HP8250 scanners
almost every day, and they are great with xsane. I only wish I had full
functionality! But I'm thankful that I have what I do.
