[sane-devel] Canon CanoScan 9000F (similar to 8800F) supported by sane?

I set the transport lock to send the device back and then I had the
idea to test with

So I moved the transport lock again and now the scanner was recognized.
So I think there is/was a contact problem.

I prefer to wait and use my old SCSI scanner, if there are important
things to scan.

Please post in this thread, when the driver is available genrally and
which sane version I need. I will wait until the driver is available
at 
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/graphics/openSUSE_11.2/ and
when I see that the necessary version is available I will buy the 9000F.

I don't care about 9600dpi, less is ok for a while, but I would prefer
to install everything from a repo. More important than the resolution
for me is, that scanning of bigger than 35mm films works.

I found a newer repo now at

I had it already in my list, but I had to force the installation of a
newer version.

Now I have
sane-backends-autoconfig-1.0.21-30.1.i586
sane-backends-1.0.21-30.1.i586
