Hi Archana,

The hp2400 full support driver is in sane-backends development version.
It's not been released yet.

As an option, if you use Ubuntu, you may try to use my PPA which
contains patched version of sane-backends 1.0.22 with full support of
hp2400: https://launchpad.net/~lion-simba/+archive/hp2400-genesys
