[sane-devel] Canon MP250 detected by sane-find-scanner but not by scanimage

Yes, it has. It's listed as  "Generation 4"
Even, the first macro definition for MP250 corresponds with the secod part
of the usb id:

Macro:
#define MP250_PID 0x173a
usb id:
Bus 001 Device 009: ID 04a9:173a Canon, Inc.

The MP250 is also registered as a device at the bottom of the file:

 DEVICE ("Canon PIXMA MP250", "MP250", MP250_PID, 600, 638, 877,
PIXMA_CAP_CIS),
