     Hello,

     the LiDE 700F is a GL847 based scanner and can be added to the 
genesys backend (there is some early code for it in SANE's git). I know 
that Gildas was working on adding it, but I don't know how far he has 
gone and how well it is working.
     Adding color and grey scans up to 2400 dpi could not be that 
difficult. If I had one, I could work on it, but this not the case. 
However I would gladly give advice to someone that would undertake this 
task.
