Hi MAN,
You have commented on
[#313591] epjitsu: unneccesary padding on top of page
about we need to merge my work with S1100 work.
You may have already had driver which support S1100, and
there is not published yet, so I decided to try whether it can merge.
I've tried to merge S1100 patch with my work.
(picked from http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1678335)
Could you review it?
I picked modifications carefully NOT to break existing drivers.
Because of conflicting with my work, I don't pick following suggestions:
- dpi scaling
- init_vpd() related work.
I tested it on S300 and it worked well, it has no degrade on S300.
please see
https://github.com/miurahr/sane-backends/commits/epjitsu-s1100
recent 3 commit is for s1100.
1. introduce object_position() to support both egest/ingest
2. refactoring coarsecal() to merge existing logic with s1100 code.
3. s1100 codes.
commit No.2 is originally introduced by me, not to break existing code.
Because I don't have an ScanSnap S1100, I cannot test it on s1100,
but it may help you.
Thanks,
Hiroshi
