[sane-devel] HP 5590 Scanner

With Ubuntu 12.04-X64, I am unable to obtain a driver for the HP 5590 scanner. All attempts at web searches for help have failed.
Using Opensuse 12.3-X64, Simple scan works fine. The output from the scanner is very good.  Is there some way to get the scanner to work in Ubuntu? I really like the Ubuntu release. It was fantastic to find the exfat driver that came out for flash drives.
