Subject: [sane-devel] PIXMA 780 Issues

Hi,

I have been exchanging some information with another member and just now
realized I was not posting to your ML but to a specific person.

I have the most recent SANE install on a Mac OS X Maverick 10.9 mac mini and
have a Canon Pixma MP 780 connected over USB, whose scanner is not working
yet.

I have the following information for your review, to assist in potentially
troubleshooting the issue with me:

> What I am getting when checking on the command line is the following

> as a summary: (Error during I/O, and the commands take a while to come

> back to a prompt.)

>

> Mac-mini:~ wbarfoot$ scanimage -L

> device `pixma:04A91707_20A8E7' is a CANON Canon PIXMA MP780/790

> multi-function peripheral Mac-mini:~ wbarfoot$ scanimage -d test -T

> scanimage: scanning image of size 157x196 pixels at 8 bits/pixel

> scanimage: acquiring gray frame, 8 bits/sample

> scanimage: reading one scanline, 157 bytes... PASS

> scanimage: reading one byte... PASS

> scanimage: stepped read, 2 bytes... PASS

> scanimage: stepped read, 4 bytes... PASS

> scanimage: stepped read, 8 bytes... PASS

> scanimage: stepped read, 16 bytes... PASS

> scanimage: stepped read, 32 bytes... PASS

> scanimage: stepped read, 64 bytes... PASS

> scanimage: stepped read, 128 bytes... PASS

> scanimage: stepped read, 256 bytes... PASS

> scanimage: stepped read, 255 bytes... PASS

> scanimage: stepped read, 127 bytes... PASS

> scanimage: stepped read, 63 bytes... PASS

> scanimage: stepped read, 31 bytes... PASS

> scanimage: stepped read, 15 bytes... PASS

> scanimage: stepped read, 7 bytes... PASS

> scanimage: stepped read, 3 bytes... PASS

device and have also tested using Image Capture, which still has no devices
showing and is not usable?

Beside this, I have some debug output as well:
