Hi all
(Since i'm new to unix, I'll try to be accurate)

I need to make epson v37,v200 work with sane on linux mint 16.
I found this article:
http://thehomeserverhandbook.com/2012/02/20/installing_scanner/

ths is what i did:
I downloaded the
iscan_2.29.3-1~usb0.1.ltdl7_amd64.deb
iscan-data_1.26.0-1_all.deb
iscan-plugin-gt-f670_2.1.2-1_amd64.deb
iscan-plugin-perfection-v370_1.0.0-2_amd64.deb

files and intalled them (using the Package intaller, not command line)
the /etc/sane.d/dll.d/iscan indeed appear with epkowa in it.

I created the wanted rule (for 37v)

# Epson Perfection V37 Photo
ATTRS{idVendor}=="04b8", ATTRS{idProduct}=="014a",GROUP="saned"

and located them in the right place.
triggered the trigger.
add my user to the group.
updated /etc/sane.d/epkowa.conf

*sane-find-scanner:*
*found USB scanner (vendor=0x04b8 [EPSON], product=0x014a [EPSON Perfection
V37/V370]) at libusb:001:111*
* # Your USB scanner was (probably) detected. It may or may not be
supported by*
* # SANE. Try scanimage -L and read the backend's manpage.*

sane-utils is updated.

sudo scanimage -L:
*No scanners were identified.*

Any help is welcome.

tnx!
