[sane-devel] Can sensors be set to a value?

And, after a number of rounds of discussion with Fujitsu USA and
Japan, the short answer is that the default cannot be changed, and the
current value cannot be changed from software, and there are no plans
to change this in the firmware or otherwise.

Looks like you will have to handle it in your app.
