Hello Rolf,

Thanks for the link to your ppa. I#ve investigated some time in
searching a ppa but the resulting ppa's were verry outdated (file dates
2010, 2012). :-(

I've just checked the website @ http://sane-project.org/sane-mfgs.html
At the bottom there is already the message:
This page was last updated on Mon Sep 30 21:38:57 2013 by sane-desc 3.5
from sane-backends 1.0.24

Maybe some automated tasks failed for a long time?
