     Hello,

this why I promised myself not to work on scanner I can't
physically work with: taking log, testing and debugging needs that same
lengthy mails. Much more efforts than doing the actual work if I had the
scanner.

Nevertheless, when comparing the log you sent me, I saw they ware
different because they had different settings. So comparing them won't
help finding the differences for sure. For that, we need scans done in
the very same way.
The programs shipped with the scanner usually hide things in fancy
ways, and we cannot be sure of what scan is really done at hardware
level. The best log should be done with the WIA scanner driver. It is
ran by right-clicking on scanner icon in the peripherals panel, then
click on preview once you start USBpcap.

I hoped that the delta between the LiDE 110 and 120 was the same
than between the 210 and 220. It seems it is not the case.

Have you tried to enable debug log like explained in the
sane-genesys man page ? Are there any interesting error message ?

Do you remember the settings for the scan you logged ? I could do
the same, if done with the WIA driver.

Regards,
     Stef
