Hello,

I bought the mentioned multi-functional device and try to make it work with
sane v1.0.25 installed on Debian.
According to the sane-pixma manpage this model "*may use the same Pixma
protocol as those listed above, but have not yet been reported to work (or
not). They are declared in the backend so that they get recognized and
activated. Feedback in the sane-devel mailing list welcome.*"

Is there any additional information about this particular model?
Is there any hope that it will be fixed in the near future?
Is it possible to support this process by financial donation?

Issue details:

I set the file permissions and sane recognized the device but failed to get
the graphic data when trying to scan. When I start it from xsane the
scanner head moves and lights but after hangs with a message on the LCD:
'interrupted, waiting for remote scanner' and the xsane preview window
remains blank. It seems that it can't send the scanned data to the computer.

Here are some outputs:
sane-find-scanner:
found USB scanner (vendor=0x04a9 [Language Error], product=0x27a9 [Language
Error]) at libusb:002:003

scanimage -L:

on the device LCD: "Interrupted" and when I press 'close' "waiting for
remote scanner" (it's my translation because system language has been set
to Hungarian)

...for a change there is a full black out.pnm as a result...

Thanks for any feedback.
