Dear Sir:

I am running Ubuntu CE 3.3 through MokaFive on my Windows Vista PC. The Xsane image scanner does recognize my scanner which is a UMAX Astra 1220U (UMAX no longer supports this scanner). The reason why I want to run the scanner on Xsane is because the scanner can not work on Windows Vista, and UMAX did not release software to make the scanner compatible with Windows Vista. I can print documents through the Ubuntu CE OS. But the problem is that when I try to make a copy, the scanner does retrieve the RGB data. Once it completed scanning, I get an error saying, "Error during save: Broken pipe." When I click Ok, it says, "Error during save: Success." When I click Ok again, it says, "Error during save: Success." When I click Ok again one more time, it says, "Failed to execute printer command: 'lpr'." Finally, when I click Ok one last time, the error goes away. I would appreciate any help you can offer and thank you for your efforts."
