<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" ><tr><td valign="top" style="font: inherit;">Dear SANE users,<br><br>Thanks for Wolfran and Triften for helpful suggestions regarding the HP Scanjet 4400c.<br><br>With the rts8891 backend it is now working but apparently only in 75, 300 and 600 dpi modes. The default mode of 150 dpi produces a blank image while the 1200dpi mode produces only half of page (the 2nd half is black). <br><br>In summary, this produces a proper 300dpi grayscale scan:<br>scanimage -d rts8891 --mode Gray --resolution 300 > o.pnm<br><br>Cheers and thanks,<br>Mike.<br></td></tr></table><br>
