There is a class of scanners called `orbital' or `planetary' scanners, which are basically a digital camera mounted a pedestal. You place the document on a flat tray and take a photo (scan). There are almost no moving parts (as opposed to drum scanners) and it's possible to scan books (no need to have loose pages).<br><br>Has anyone had experience with such scanners and can recommend a portable model, ideally compatible with SANE?.<br><br>Cheers,<br>Mike.<br></td></tr></table><br>
