my normal desktop is a openSUSE 11.4 with sane 1.0.22<br>
for testing purpose I have a openSUSE 11.3 inside virtualbox with
sane 1.0.21<br>

And,<br>
I added an addition file for 1.0.22: <br>
First, I renamed ~/.sane/
<style type="text/css">p, li { white-space: pre-wrap; }</style>medion-md5345-model.cal

<pre wrap=""> Hello,
gamma settings haven't change between 1.0.21 and 1.0.22. So I don't see
where the color tint change you may come from. If you have the opportunity,
running a preview with scanimage and SANE 1.0.21:
export SANE_DEBUG_GENESYS=255
export SANE_DEBUG_GENESYS_LOW=255
export SANE_DEBUG_GENESYS_GL646=255
scanimage -d genesys --mode Color --resolution 100 2>scan-1.0.21.log
</pre>
<blockquote type="cite" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">
<pre wrap=""><span class="moz-txt-citetags">></span>scan-1.0.21.pnm
</pre>
</blockquote>
<pre wrap="">then with SANE 1.0.22:
export SANE_DEBUG_GENESYS=255
export SANE_DEBUG_GENESYS_LOW=255
export SANE_DEBUG_GENESYS_GL646=255
scanimage -d genesys --mode Color --resolution 100 2>scan-1.0.22.log
</pre>
<blockquote type="cite" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">
<pre wrap=""><span class="moz-txt-citetags">></span>scan-1.0.22.pnm
</pre>
</blockquote>
<pre wrap=""> If you could send me these files (compressed), I'll have the opportunity
to figure out what is going on.
