For the Debian Debtags project I've been working on AI-assisted package
tagging.

Currently two prototype web-interfaces are online,

an AJAX-enabled tag submitter and suggester:
http://www.alextreme.org/debtags
and a tag-database evaluator for the debtags administrator:
http://www.alextreme.org/debtags/tagdb

Both prototypes use the AI tagger for suggesting relevant tags and
automatic approval or rejection of tag changes.

Work is underway to improve the accuracy of the tagger using more
package metadata. Speeding up the tagger is also a priority. The first
results are encouraging, they show a significant improvement of package
evaluation accuracy compared with previous versions.

All code and project-related information is available via:
http://www.alextreme.org/project-debtags

Hope this is enough information from me for the press-release. Erich, if
you have anything to add please do.

cheers,

Alex
