Heya,

Google launched a new UI for the GSoC 2011, which behaves somewhat
weird for people used to the old UI. Besides doing a ritual involving
two white mice, a drop of blood and a lot of candles, you need to go to
a Project's page to register as a user of the web application.

So, if you want to become a mentor, you have to go to
 http://www.google-melange.com/gsoc/org/google/gsoc2011/debian
and then click on the big friendly button. You can then reenter the data
you've given Google in the past few years and create a profile in the
application. After that, you can request to become a mentor and actually
get a few links in the navigation sidebar which are not completely
useless.

HTH,
Marc
