[Splashy-devel] ready to hunt bugs

Hello all,

I started hunting the old initramfs bug in Splashy during boot. I came
across this post in the dfb mailing list:

http://mail.directfb.org/pipermail/directfb-dev/2005-November/001047.html

Essentially it says that libdirectfb-based apps will crash whenever a tty
changes. Especially if you try to write back to a dfb buffer after the
switching has been done.

I also noted that in the NEWS file for release 1.1 (actually 1.0) it says
that vt switching has been improved.

So, I'll be taking this approach to test this problem and see if
libdfb 1.1fixes the issue. Else, try to see if we can start Splashy on
a high TTY
number (like 9 or 12).

If anybody has some free time and is willing to help me hunt this bug.
Please join the IRC channel.

Regards,
