Hi,
I just enabled kernel mode setting on my laptop, and wanted to install
splashy as well. Unfortunately, it does not start. It seems that this
line in /usr/share/initramfs-tools/scripts/local-premount/splashy is the
problem:
grep -q '\(VESA\|VGA\)' /proc/fb || exit
because on my machine, it says
$ cat /proc/fb
0 inteldrmfb
If I comment out this line, the splash screen shortly pops up, but then
some other error seem to happen, as it disappears and some error message
scrolls by.
Greetings,
Joachim
