[Tux4kids-discuss] Problem Installing Tuxpaint

Can anyone pls tell me..
how to install tuxpaint from source file..
i have tried the read me file and followed the procedure..
but it is reporting an error that ..
"No package 'cairo' found
Package libsvg-cairo was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `libsvg-cairo.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable"
but actually it is installed in my system..
what should i do ?
