Up to here I'd say that this has more chances to get picked by the GNU project

What about  Tux swimming on the sea,  jumping on icebergs, each iceberg is a world(a theme maths history, open source...)
Each world has different subworlds(maths->geometry arithmetic...   history->prehistory,antique...)
This could be a fun reference browser, you could even build a game on it.
The only problem I see is filling the worlds with data...
