Hi sir,
I am a college student from India, and basically this is my first step in
OpenSource development.
I want to contribute to Tux4kids, but my skill sets are quite limited, I am
well versed with C/C++, and basic PYTHON, I am learning SDL2 and know some
HTML/SS/JS (web-development) found your organization while browsing through
GSoC, but before preparing for GSoC I want to get started in FOSS and I am
looking forward some guidance from this forum.
I am very new to the OpenSource world and find my interest in helping FOSS
and myself.

Hello Sir,
I am third year college student pursuing Electrical and Electronics along
with Economics(Hons.) in BITS Pilani,India and I have been doing android
app development for more than one year and now want to start in OpenSource
Development
I was looking for last year Gsoc projects and there in one project that
strike me and i want to work in it that was develop develop mobile
application project mentored by Deepak Aggarwal whose aim is to build
application that will simplify reading and learning process and i feel very
much enthusiast towards this project and want to work on it , my skill set
in C/C++, java , HTML CSS and javasript. I want to work in this and looking
forward for guidance that help me through this as I am a newbee to
Opensource development.

I have a background in education for at-risk youth. I also spent some time
teaching English abroad, and painting murals at schools.

Now I'm a computer science student at the Santa Rosa Junior College. So far
I've taken two semesters of C++, also some HTML, CSS, java, javascript, and
python.

I'd love to get involved in tux4kids. How can I get started?

There is no one method, everyone has started in a different way, you
should find your, as a general rule you should find something that
interests you, makes you proud of do it and makes you learn at the same
time :)
