[Tux4kids-tuxtype-dev] Time for new releases?

Hello all,

I think it is about time to put up tuxtype-1.7.4 and tuxmath-1.7.2.

- In both programs, we now have all the text-rendering code isolated
into SDL_extras, with no mention of SDL_ttf or SDL_Pango in other
files. This means that we don't have any bundled fonts or specific
font dependencies whenever SDL_Pango is available.

- For the first time, we now have a way of setting font sizes under
SDL_Pango. This gives us the opportunity of scaling font sizes to
whatever seems most appropriate for the screen size.

- so far, the windows build still needs the intl subdirectory to be in
the tarball, so I haven't removed it from svn. It should be noted
that the copied code gets updated from the gettext source itself every
time I do a full rebuild on my Debian machine (the rebuild script
includes "autopoint --force"), so any bug fixes in gettext should get
carried into our source tree as well.

The automated rpm builds with the opensuse build service are up and
running. Try searching for tuxmath or tuxtype at:

http://software.opensuse.org/search

I have yet to get any feedback from anyone who has tried these packages.

Cheers,

David
