[Tux4kids-tuxtype-dev] tuxtype progress control

Hi,

One very basic thing that tuxtype lacks so far is any sort of player
identification/login system. Tim added something like this to tuxmath
a couple of years ago. In an ideal world, all the players would be
logged into their computers with unique user ids protected by secure
passwords, and tuxtype could just get the name of the current user
from the operating system. But most schools don't work like that, so
our programs need to have their own identification system.

The current project that likely will address student tracking the most
is tux4kids-admin, which is a cross-platform GUI program (Qt4) that is
being written to provide all the structure needed for teachers to use
tuxtype and tuxmath in a school setting. However, it's not done.

Cheers,

David Bruce
