That just means to do a checkout from the source code repository and
build the program from source.

e.g. for tuxmath, you would do:

git clone git://git.debian.org/git/tux4kids.git

The urls for the git repositories for tuxmath, tuxtype, libt4k-common,
and tux4kids-admin can be found at our site:
http://tux4kids.alioth.debian.org in the section called "Git
Repositories".

For Tux Paint, go to http://www.tuxpaint.org.  Tux Paint uses cvs,
which I don't know much about, but there are instructions on how to do
a read-only checkout at the tuxpaint site.
