I also would be interested in learning how to compile TuxType and TuxMath for Windows. For Linux it is easy, but I can't figure it out for Windows. I tried cross compiling in Linux for both platforms as outlined in the readme for older versions of TuxType, but I couldn't get it to work with version 1.8. I will try again this weekend.

We have been hacking on TuxType and TuxMath to make a customized version for the Andes in Quechua and Aymara, with Andean graphics and music. It is almost ready and I will post everything online. Eventually I would like to see our graphics and music incorporated into TuxType and TuxMath, but for now we are just going to call them KunturQillqa and KunturMat, so both the original and our modified versions can be installed on the same machine and people can use both. In the schools, we are thinking of installing both the original TuxType/Math preconfigured for Spanish and KunturQillqa/Mat preconfigured to run in Aymara or Quechua depending on the region. That way, people just click on the icon that they want and they get the correct language with all the associated graphics and music. A lot of kids seem to like the music and graphics from TuxMath/Type better than our Andean version, so we are going to install both.

Has anyone worked on Tux Typing in Windows using VC++? I'd like to work on it but haven't successfully built it yet. I have SDL (with images, mixer and tff) installed and on the path. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
