[Tux4kids-tuxtype-dev] Building on Windows (for a GCI2011 task)

I'm a student that has just begun GCI2011. I claimed this

I think I know how to solve the bug code-wise, but I'm having trouble
trying to find a way to build tuxtype on Windows.

I can't find any relevant resources and can see it doesn't use cygwin. How
do I proceed from here ?
