Package: dmraid
Severity: important

This package is all about supporting ****SOFTWARE**** S?ATARAID controlers.
You know, winraid crap. The current package description is completely
incorrect.

I strongly suggest that the package description be changed to the one
suggested upstream (FROM http://people.redhat.com/heinzm/sw/dmraid/readme).
Here is a slightly edited version of it:

Description: Device-Mapper Software RAID support tool
dmraid discovers, activates, deactivates and displays properties
of software RAID sets (eg, ATARAID) and contained DOS partitions.
 .
dmraid uses the Linux device-mapper to create devices with respective
mappings for the ATARAID sets discovered.
 .
The following ATARAID mappings are supported:
 Highpoint HPT37X and HPT45X
 Intel Software RAID
 LSI Logic MegaRAID
 NVidia NForce RAID
 Promise FastTrack
 Silicon Image Medley
 VIA Software RAID
 .
Please read the documentation in /usr/share/doc/dmraid BEFORE attempting
any use of this software. Improper use can cause data loss!

Please fix the package description.

The tool does NOT manage any hardware controller. Chipsets have nothing to
do with it.

Also, none of the controllers listed are hardware raid controllers at all.
They are just regular ATA/SATA controllers plus a lot marketing spin.
