Thanks for that pointer. The message[1] from Junio is a god education
to me, even for confirming that there's no magic bullet :)

I am found of the "separate" approach and was wondering if anyone here
has tried guilt to ease quilt patches management within git? Any
work-flow for share?

First surprise with guilt is its manpage. It says that "Changes are
maintained as patches which are committed into Git." and "In Guilt, all
the patches are stored in .git/patches/$branch/". Isn't this a
contradiction? I need the patches is the .diff, so .git/something is
not very useful...
