This weeks Torah parsha is "Lech Lecha". " And G-d said to Avram, "Go
(to) (for) yourself, from your land, from your birth place, from your
father's house, to the land that I will show you. "(Breishis 12:1)
Avram was the father of the Jewish People. This is the Jewish claim to
the Land of Israel. The Jewish People do not have a claim to other
lands in the Middle East, only that little territory called the Land of
Israel. There is no Palestine, only the Land of Israel. All the anti
Jewish/Israel campaigns to cast doubts on the Jewish People's claim to
the Land of Israel is based on lies and hatred for the Jewish People.

<p><font face="Verdana" size="2"> I have written before about an
anti Jewish/Israel International Conference sponsored by York University
and Queens University. The purpose of this weekly report is to explain
in detail the reasons why this conference should be opposed. It is
important to review the people on the advisory committee and these are
the names listed on the official website for the conference:<br>

<strong>Ali Abunimah</strong>: This is from
DAFKA News; </font>
<p><font face="Verdana" size="2"><em>Go a little
further into the website and you'll find the
name of one of Al Awda's current leaders and
most frequent speakers, </em>
<a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/individualProfile.asp?indid=1426">
<em>Ali Abunimah</em></a><em>,who also heads the
Arab Action Network (but Electronic Intifada
that does most of their web propaganda is
supposedly not part of the network, they are
just listed at the top of the Al Awda boycott
page that was reached from the American Nazi
Party website). Abunimah, based in Ramallah in
the Palestinian Authority and Chicago, is a
frequent guest of honor at ISM national
conclaves. Abunimah is a wonderful Palestinian
Arab leader and "peace activist." Nigel Parry
himself will tell you so.</em></font></p>
<p><font face="Verdana" size="2"><em>You can
read on the Boycott Israeli goods website and
elsewhere an article by Abunimah himself about
nonviolence being overstated, that violence must
accompany the Arabs' goal of driving out the
Jews (besides, it's more, well, jihad-like to do
so). To quote Abunimah: "calls for nonviolence
are just another bankrupt exercise in shifting
the blame from the occupier to the occupied,
while still posing as advocates for peace." Ali
calls it truthfully at least, because he admits
the title of "peace activists" is just a ruse by
his movement that considers all of Israel where
Jews live as "occupied," and must be taken by
force.</em></font></p>
<p><font face="Verdana" size="2"><strong>Islah
Jad</strong>: This person is a founding member
of the following group;</font></p>

<strong>Leila Farsakh</strong>: This person is
on the advisory committee of "The One Democratic
State Group" and they state the following;</font><p>
<font face="Verdana" size="2"><em>We affirm the
inalienable rights of all native Palestinians
especially the right to return to their homes
and lands and the rights to be compensated for
suffering inflicted since the start of the
political Zionist project. We believe that
Palestinian return is the only route to a
durable peace. We pledge to work actively
towards that. </em></font></p>
<p><font face="Verdana" size="2"><strong>David
Kretzmer</strong>: This person is also a
supporter of the group "<em>Palestine Campaign
for the Academic & Cultural Boycott of Israel.
However, he goes further, he is a professor at
Hebrew University and calls for War Crimes
trials to be used against Israel Government
officials.</em></font></p>
<p><font face="Verdana" size="2"><strong>Ian
Lustick:</strong> <em>Professor Ian Lustick,
of the University of Pennsylvania, who has
hosted Finkelstein several times at Penn, is a
far leftist, anti-America and unabashedly
anti-Israel. He earned some notoriety for his
expressing regret that America did not lose more
soldiers in the campaign to topple the Taliban
in Afghanistan. Lustick likes to describe
America's foreign policy as being under the
control of a "cabal" (his word); writing in the
anti-American, anti-Israel magazine, The Nation,
a magazine hostile to America and Israel and
sympathetic to radical Islamicists, wrote:
"This campaign for an invasion of Iraq is thus
aptly understood as a supply-side war because it
is not driven by a particular threat, a
particularly accentuated threat or a "demand"
for war associated with the struggle against Al
Qaeda, but because of the combination of an
enormous supply of military power and political
capital and the proximity to the highest
echelons of the American government of a small
cabal long ago committed to just this sort of
war."</em></font></p>
<p><font face="Verdana" size="2"><strong>John B.
Quigley</strong>: The following is a report
from Front Page Magazine; <em>John Quigley, is
currently the </em>
<a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://moritzlaw.osu.edu/faculty/bios.php?ID=42">
<span style="COLOR: #800000"><em>Presidents'
Club Professor of Law</em></span></a><em> at the
Moritz College of Law. A Harvard-educated
scholar on the Soviet Union and comparative law,
he has now adopted the Palestinian cause as a
focus of his studies and identifies Western
intervention as the cause of the present
troubles in the Middle East. In a </em>
<a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://moritzlaw.osu.edu/faculty/digest.php?ID=7">
<span style="COLOR: #800000"><em>2006 Florida
Law Review article</em></span></a><em>, he finds
that Osama bin Laden is really an anti-colonial
fellow traveler: </em></font></p>
<p><font face="Verdana" size="2">"<em>Bin Laden
framed his anti-United States arguments in the
language of Islam, but he was voicing the same
anti-colonialist sentiments that had been
directed against France and Britain in the early
20th Century."</em></font></p>
<p><font face="Verdana" size="2"><em>And in a
</em>
<a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://moritzlaw.osu.edu/faculty/digest.php?ID=10">
<span style="COLOR: #800000"><em>2005 Hastings
International and Comparative Law Review article</em></span></a><em>,
Quigley argues that negotiation and diplomacy
between Israel and the Palestinians is outmoded,
and that a solution should be imposed on the
Israelis in accordance with his interpretation
of international law</em>.</font></p>
<p><font face="Verdana" size="2">The only
academic 'on' the advisory committee that is not
anti Jewish/Israel is Ed Morgan. To his credit,
he admits to being mislead about the conference
and has already written against it and plans not
to be involved with it at all; </font></p>

do a search of the people involved with this
anti Jewish/Israel International Conference.
Just do a basic Google search on the name
followed by either Israel or Boycott Israel and
all the articles and groups they belong to will
appear.</font></p>

Jewish Defence League is committed to revealing
the intentions of this hate fest. We will
continue our campaign of BDS (boycott,
divestment and sanctions) against York
University and Queens University. We will
continue to contact donors to these Universities
and allow them to examine how their money is
being used. </strong></font></p>

Thursday November 20th at 12:00 noon the JDL
will picket York University at their main
entrance at York and Keele Street. We will then
deliver a letter to the President of York
University's office that will outline the
issues. Spread this message to all concerned
