Package: vmdebootstrap
Version: 1.5-1
Severity: normal

Ohai,

as discussed with terceiro on IRC:
when vmdebootstrap is executed on Stretch, it will use mkfs from Stretch which defaults to enabling metadata_csum.
That, however, is not compatible with e2fsck from Jessie:

/dev/vda1 has unsupported feature(s): metadata_csum
e2fsck: Get a newer version of e2fsck!

I think vmdebootstrap should default to creating the fs with "-O ^metadata_csum" when building <= Jessie.

Greets
