That really is not the burden of Erik but me: I chose to include
unofficial patches without coordinating with Erik and if for some
reason he disagrees with them (or is too busy improving the upstream
software to bother with "local hacks" for Debian) then it is my problem
to maintain those local hacks for eternity (or drop them again).


When I say "me" then I do want the yaird packaging to be
team-maintained, but included patches before that so won't put the
burden of maintaining them on you newcomers either. You are off course
very welcome to help :-)


All that said, I believe most if not all Debian-specific patches are
included in upstream development tree too :-)

If curious about the details then grab latest released Debian source
package and look at the patch dir - the patch numbering should be
quite helpful!
