This _might_ be #868204, apparently fixed in git as
https://anonscm.debian.org/git/debhelper/debhelper.git/commit/?id=8c17ea3afc11295771e49861c860371d7cc79858
(I'm not sure if we have a "dangling symalink" case with virtualbox).
