Looks reasonable, though I only took a cursory glance and don't have
time at this time for a review of the code. The other thing I think
should be done once this conflict is resolved is for eeepc-acpi-scripts
to exist on a system and not cause undesirable behaviours if the system
is not, in fact, an eeepc. This would allow it to be included in the
'laptop' task in the standard installer and live images.
