[Debian-ha-maintainers] backporting, packaging issues

Hi,

I'm working on jessie-backports of the pacemaker stack; I think this is
perhaps a bit premature given some of our packages haven't been uploaded
to unstable yet, but it's the easiest way for me to test them, and I
suspect a lot of our users are going to want a stable jessie-backports
pacemaker stack.

The good news is that making jessie-backports suitable builds of libqb,
corosync, cluster-glue, and pacemaker is pretty trivial. Configuring
them may take a bit longer ;-)

A couple of things I have spotted thusfar:

i) The pacemaker build includes a lot of warnings of the form:

dpkg-shlibdeps: warning: package could avoid a useless dependency if
debian/libcfg6/usr/lib/libcfg.so.6.0.0 was not linked against libdl.so.2
(it uses none of the library's symbols)

ii) The admin-facing quorum documentation (e.g. votequorum.5) is in
libvotequorum-dev. This is incorrect - most sysadmins will not need the
-dev package, but will want the documentation on how to configure
corosync_votequorum.

It didn't seem helpful to open bugs about unreleased packaging stuff, so
I thought emailing the list seemed the best way to go...?

Regards,

Matthew
